New Money Saving Initiative for Broadcasters Launched at IBC 2011
Bordeaux-Mérignac, 17th August 2011, - WorldCast Systems, the broadcast manufacturing group consisting of leading brands, APT, Ecreso and Audemat will launch a major new initiative at IBC 2011, under the unusual headline of “You Don’t Have to Pay for WorldCast Systems’ products.”
The instigator of the initiative, Group President Bruno Rost, explained further, “We have developed a number of innovative products and technologies throughout our group with one common theme; they all enable the broadcasters that use them to make such significant cost savings in such a short period of time that, essentially, you don’t have to pay for the products – they pay for themselves!”
Rost continued, “From APT’s SureStream technology, enabling the use of the open internet for professional audio transport and Ecreso’s highly efficient range of FM transmitters, right through to Audemat’s highly intelligent Signal Monitoring and Facility Control devices, our products ensure operational costs are kept to a minimum with no compromise to the station’s quality of output or reliability. Research has shown that return on investment from expenditure on a WorldCast product can occur in as little as 6 months.”
While audio over IP is not new by any means, the pioneering techniques employed in APT’s SureStream technology enable broadcasters retain the audio quality and reliability associated with E1 and ISDN links while using inexpensive IP connections. The monthly cost of a typical ADSL link can be as little as 5-10% that of a synchronous link, not to mention the convenience of utilising IP links such as wireless 3G, 4G, LAN, WAN and WiFi. Similarly, with an efficiency rating of up to 74%, Ecreso’s new FM transmitter range offers the most efficient cost/watt ratio and lowest heat dissipation available on the market today.
The initiative is not purely promotional in nature. So confident are WorldCast Systems in their claims, that they are inviting broadcast engineers to complete a “Money Saving Challenge” outlining some basic details of their existing network. WorldCast staff will then examine the data, highlighting areas where cost savings can be achieved. Everyone who responds to the challenge will also be entered into a draw to win an iPad2 so broadcasters truly have nothing to lose and a lot to gain!
Those interested in entering the challenge can do so at www.worldcastsystems.com , at the WorldCast Systems’ stand at IBC, 8.B50 or at NAB Radio Show, Booth 325.
