WorldCast Systems Showcase Latest Award-Winning Products
Bordeaux, 7th June 2011, WorldCast Systems will bring their latest, new and award-winning product ranges to Asia for the first time during the 2011 Broadcast Asia exhibition in Singapore, 21 – 24 June. The group’s new innovations span the complete range of the radio broadcast chain with new IP audio codecs, FM transmitters and facility remote control units.
From the APT stable, comes a brand new generation of IP audio codecs featuring ground-breaking IP technology that received several awards at the 2011 NAB Show in Las Vegas.
The WorldCast Horizon NextGen is the first IP audio codec to feature the company’s new “SmartIP” package of advanced IP techniques and the revolutionary SureStream technology.Utilising sophisticated packet resequencing methods, SureStream enables broadcasters to obtain the audio quality and link reliability traditionally associated with T1 and E1 links utilising only inexpensive public internet connections such as ADSL, wireless 3G and 4G, LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi. Any combination of these can be used in a dual streaming configuration to provide additional levels of redundancy.
In addition to the functionality offered by SmartIP, the WorldCast Horizon NextGen offers a wide range of essential broadcast features on a solid DSP platform. With many algorithms including Enhanced apt-X and Linear audio supplied as standard, optional dual IP ports, audio back-up and redundant power supplies, the Horizon NextGen provides high feature density at an extremely competitively price.
Also on display at the WorldCast Systems’ stand at Broadcast Asia will be the new Digital Series of FM Transmitters from Ecreso. Encompassing several power ranges from 20 W up to 10kW, the new transmitter range combines the wealth of experience and solid reputation of Ecreso with the very latest cutting-edge technology. The core of the new range is Ecreso’s new Helios, a world-class exciter that incorporates an FM Band “Direct to Frequency” digital modulator for exceptional signal quality and performance.
This digital exciter is available as a standalone modulator in 20 W or 100 W versions or can be combined with the new Goliath amplifiers for applications requiring higher power. For medium power applications (750 W to 2.5 kW), broadcasters can also opt for an integrated “Compact” solution which integrates the amplifier into the Helios unit to reduce space, cabling and hardware requirements.
Also featured in Singapore will be Audemat’s Mini Control Silver, a compact yet highly powerful system for managing and monitoring remote equipment. It can be configured to connect with any equipment at a remote site through serial ports, status or metering inputs, commands (relays) or IP.
The key advantage of the Mini Control Silver is the Scripteasy software that is supplied as standard on the unit. Enabling the user to configure and control every aspect of a studio or transmitter site, the Scripteasy software suite is currently utilized in hundreds of broadcast facilities worldwide and in the networks of major broadcast networks. With the Mini Control Silver, WorldCast Systems is making this powerful application available in a compact size and at a highly affordable price.
WorldCast Systems will exhibiting the products listed above at Stand 4N3-06 at Broadcast Asia at the Suntec Singapore from the 21st-24th June 2011.
